The origins of Highlands Rewilding begin with Solarsanctuary, a company 100% owned by Jeremy Leggett, incorporated in 2019 as a vehicle for purchasing land for rewilding in the Highlands, following the acquisition of Solarcentury, a solar company he founded, by Statkraft.
