Moth trapping and guided Butterfly walk
Come and learn about the moth and butterfly species that live on the Bunloit Estate. This week’s Nature Day, our Ranger will lead you in a moth trapping session (live trap). Learn how to identify the different moth species using ID guides before releasing them back into the wild. After some refreshments, our Ranger will then guide you on a Butterfly walk around the estate, again learning how to identify our butterfly species.
We will discuss the differences and similarities between moths and butterflies and try and identify all the species that we see.
If you are interested in joining us for this Nature Day, do get in touch. We will provide refreshments, though please bring your own packed lunch and water. All equipment and ID guides will be provided, though if you have your own you are welcome to bring them along.
Meeting place will be at the Bunloit Farmhouse carpark (Grid Ref: NH 50429 25262, or W3W ///waggled.harps.statement).
